Mark 10:46-51
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus, was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me"...
We do not know how long Bartimaeus had been blind. But it took him a moment to decide to call on Jesus for help.
Jesus met many spiritually blind people, for example, religious leaders, family members, and even people in the crowd. Though their eyes were fine, but they could not see the truth about Jesus.
Bartimaeus had not seen Jesus and his miracles but responded in faith to what he heard.
Many people have heard Jesus being preached at everything corner of this world, but they have failed to call him boldly at the time of trouble.
In coming to Jesus, we need Bartimaeus boldness, you need to persist irrespective of the obstacles. We must overcome guilt, fear, doubts, and take the bold step to call to Jesus.
The Bible says that" call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsercheable things you do not know"(Jeremiah 33:3)
The psalmist also said" I lift my eyes to you oh God in heaven.
Verse 3: Have mercy upon us oh Lord have mercy upon us, for we are exceedingly filled with contempt".( Psalm 123:1,3).
I conclude this article by saying, when you are going through a certain problem, instead of keeping quiet, open your mouth and talk to God.
